MY CLOUD is not a normal airport hotel. It is a transit product — available only to eligible transit passengers airside at T1, Gate Z25. This page classifies who can access it, who cannot, and what you must verify before booking.
MY CLOUD is an airside sleep-cabin service at Frankfurt Airport. It offers hourly-rate cabins behind security and passport control. It is designed for transit passengers who need a few hours of rest between flights — not for overnight hotel stays in the conventional sense.
MY CLOUD is physically located behind security and passport control in the Non-Schengen airside zone of Terminal 1, at Gate Z25. This location determines everything about who can access it.
You are a transit passenger (connecting between two flights) with a valid boarding pass for a flight departing from or arriving at the Z concourse area of Terminal 1. Your baggage is through-checked to your final destination, so you do not need to enter landside. You are in the Non-Schengen airside zone and your next flight also departs from the Non-Schengen zone. You need a few hours of rest between flights and can book an hourly cabin.
You are a transit passenger but your flight departs from a different pier (A, B, or C). You must verify that you can reach Gate Z25 and return to your departure gate within your connection time. You are a transit passenger arriving from a Schengen flight and departing on a Non-Schengen flight — you will pass through passport control into the Non-Schengen zone, where MY CLOUD is located. MY CLOUD makes the final eligibility decision.
You have landed at Frankfurt as your final destination. You will pass through passport control (if applicable), collect your baggage (if checked), and exit through customs into the landside arrivals hall. You cannot re-enter the airside area without a departing boarding pass. MY CLOUD is structurally inaccessible to arriving passengers.
You are beginning your journey at Frankfurt. You start landside at check-in. After security, you can access the airside area — but you would need to reach Gate Z25 and have enough time before boarding. MY CLOUD is designed for transit passengers, not for pre-flight rests by departing passengers. A landside airport hotel or day room is structurally more appropriate.
You have separate tickets and must collect and re-check your baggage. Baggage claim is landside. Once you enter landside, you cannot return airside without passing through security again with a valid departing boarding pass. This makes MY CLOUD impractical for most self-transfer passengers.
Both your arriving and departing flights are within the Schengen zone. You remain in the Schengen airside area. MY CLOUD is in the Non-Schengen airside zone. Reaching it would require passing through passport control into the Non-Schengen zone — and then passing back through passport control to return to your Schengen departure gate. This is structurally possible but adds significant time and complexity.
This is a structural classification based on verifiable rules. Operational exceptions may exist. Always verify with MY CLOUD directly.
